There really isn’t an easier, more nutritious breakfast you can have than a fruit smoothie for breakfast — or anytime you need a healthy snack or meal replacement.
I have a fruit smoothie every morning for breakfast. I take it with me for my long commute to work. Here’s the ingredient list for my blueberry smoothie:
- 2 Frozen Bananas
- 1/2 Cup Frozen Blueberries
- Handful of Spinach
- 2 Cups Milk
Throw all ingredients into a blender and drink immediately. For best results, put spinach in first (helps it to shred finely).
Although not necessary, I nearly always add a full scoop of whey protein powder. This gives me about 45 grams of healthy protein for breakfast in addition to at least 3 servings of fresh fruit!
Another thing I always add is 1/2 an avocado as a good and necessary source of good fats.
What you add is up to you, and I encourage you to experiment to find that perfect balance between good taste and spectacular health.
